ZebitApply (“ZebitApply,” “we,” “us”) publishes independent reviews and comparison tools at zebitapply.com. We are not a lender, we do not make credit decisions, and we are not affiliated with Zebit, Inc.

2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to information collected through zebitapply.com, including the Compare Offers form, emails you send us, and review submissions. It does not cover the websites, applications, or practices of lenders and lease-to-own providers you reach through our site. Each of those companies has its own privacy policy, which governs how it uses your information once you apply.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Compare Offers form. Name, contact details, address, date of birth, income range, employment status, and similar details the form asks for. Some fields, such as a Social Security number, may be requested by the form to let partners prequalify you.
- Messages. Anything you include when you email our editorial, privacy, press, or partnership addresses.
- Experience submissions. Your account of using Zebit or another provider, plus any details you share so we can confirm you were a customer.
Information collected automatically
- Device and log data. IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time of visit.
- Approximate location. City or state level, derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Described in the cookies section below.
Information from partners
Our referral partners may tell us whether a visit from our site led to a completed application, so we can be paid and measure which pages are useful. These reports generally use a click or transaction reference rather than your name.
4. How we use information
- To pass your Compare Offers request to the partner network so lenders and lease-to-own providers can present offers.
- To answer messages and correction requests.
- To verify and, with your permission, publish customer experiences.
- To understand which pages are read, fix errors, and improve content.
- To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking cookies does not stop you from reading the site, though the comparison form may not work.
7. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our pages do not load Google Analytics for that visit. Statcounter, our basic visit counter, still records an anonymous page view; it works only on our behalf and is not used for advertising. We treat the signal as a request to opt out of any processing that state law would consider a sale or sharing of personal information.
There is no common standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, so we do not respond to them separately. Global Privacy Control is the signal we honor.
8. Calls, texts, and emails from partners
The Compare Offers form explains, before you submit, how partner companies may contact you, which can include phone calls, text messages, and emails, sometimes using automated technology. Your consent to that contact is not a condition of any purchase. You can stop text messages by replying STOP and can unsubscribe from partner emails using the link in each message. Because each partner manages its own contact list, you may need to opt out with each company separately.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete information we hold
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising
- Appeal a decision we make about your request
Send requests to [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will confirm receipt, may ask for information to verify your identity, and will respond within the time required by your state, generally 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission. To appeal a decision, reply to our response with the word “Appeal.” We will not deny service, charge different prices, or treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Requests about information you gave a lender or lease-to-own provider must be sent to that company.
10. Notice for California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above:

We use sensitive personal information only to process the request you make and do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
11. How long we keep information
- Comparison form data that passes through our systems: no longer than needed to transmit it and resolve attribution, and in any event no more than 24 months.
- Emails and correction requests: up to 3 years, for editorial records.
- Analytics data: according to each analytics provider's retention settings, set to the shortest practical period.
We keep information longer only when the law requires it.
12. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the comparison form transmits data using encrypted connections. We limit access to personal information to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Report a security concern to [email protected].
13. Children
This site is intended for adults in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Links to other websites
Our pages link to lenders, publications, and government sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review each site's policy before sharing information.
15. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we change the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use information you already provided, we will post a notice on the homepage before the change takes effect.
